GUILT TRIPP'N
Dec 28, 2025 • Pastor Mark Rigsby
This sermon explores the critical distinction between guilt and shame, and how the enemy uses condemnation to keep believers from stepping into their God-given destiny. While guilt is God's way of convicting our behavior and drawing us back to Him for correction, shame attacks our identity and makes us feel permanently disqualified. We learned that Romans 8:1 declares there is "no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus," reminding us that Jesus destroyed shame on the cross. This message calls us to stop self-sabotaging through negative self-talk and instead embrace the redemptive power of God that covers us, restores us, and propels us forward—regardless of past mistakes or missed opportunities.
